i have been trying to download java 1.5 for my mac and haven't had any luck... will someone help me?
Well, Sun Microsystems OWNS Java and they are the ones who you need to download the Java Platform from. It's called SunJava and they hold all the patents on Java.

I don't know anything about Macs. But if its anything like Windows go to Control Panel, Then Java, The go to Update.Click Update Now.Like i said i have no idea about Macs. Hopefuldownload java 1.5ly i helped. I know for windows that's how you do it.If you don't have Java at all i don't know how to get it.
Not very clear what your situation is, do you mean it not install or not work or you don't know where to download it from
