I never understood it because to me he just sounds like any another singer. And his dancing wasn't that special either.
So, why?
"His dancing wasn't that special"? Wtf? Have you seen the moonwalk or the anti gravity lean? His dancing is amazing!

He was really popular as a kid in the Jackson 5, everyone loved him and loved his singing and that carried on with him as he got older. His album Thriller is still the #1 best selling album of all time. His false child molestation accusations made everyone, especially the media hate him, but showed who his true fans are. And he influenced almost every artist there is today. And many more for decades to come. Michael Jackson may be dead physically but through his influence and music he's immortal. He rightfully had the title King of Pop.
Wow really? Listen to "Who's Loving You" or "Butterflies" and then try to say why was michael jackson famoushe was average. He is ten times better than any artist out today. First black artist to have a video on MTV (why do you think BET started? Because black artist weren't shown on other channels) And So much more.

Are you nuts? Go to youtube and watch the clips from his concerts. The guy can DAAANCE.. I used to think like you, than I went to get educated on this guy. Trust me, watch his videos and you will clearly see that he was one of a kind. No one can dance like him, literally. He just had that special something that no one else had. I'm not even a MJ fanatic, but anyone with just common sense would know that he was just epic. No one could move like him. No one ever will..
Because he is awesome.
No one else was doing what he did. He sounds like every other singer because they are why was michael jackson famouscopying him. His dance moves were innovative.
I Wanna Rock With You is a cheesy video now but back then the dancing was insane. And Thiller...don't get me started. He made a music video into a mini-movie. Who else did that back then? No one. Michael was the first black person to have music on MTV. Before that they were totally white.

Without him Usher, Chris Brown, and Trey Songz wouldn't be here. Neither would Beyonce, Ciara, or Rihanna because without Michael breaking through there would be no Janet Jackson
Because he was a great entertainer and Talented. His dancing was incredible THANK YOU VERY MUCH. And he was very special. Wtf Where have you been? MJ is the Best ! Hands down!
